Who We Are

Our Mission
Our mission is to connect people to God, to Each Other and to the World. We invite you to come and visit the Sault Wesleyan Church. We believe once you have visited, you will want to make Sault Wesleyan your home.

Connecting To God

It is our desire to help people grow closer to God by connecting with Him. Worship is the foundation of connecting to God. We want to help you connect to him through Christ-centered messages (biblical teaching and learning from each other). We are unashamed to admit that we believe God’s word. Only through Christ can you be set free from past guilt, pain, fear and controlling habits. Through Him we find emotional wholeness, answers for life’s toughest questions, guidance for difficult decisions and hope for the future.

Connecting To Each Other

We are committed to and encourage a strong sense of community in the church. As we connect to each other we offer love and support. We were never meant to live in isolation. Together we can grow closer to God, get through our life issues and reach others with the hope we find in Christ.

Connecting To The World

We believe strongly that we need to “practice what we preach.” We are committed to connecting to the world by touching the world with the hope and actions of Christ.

Core Values of the Sault Wesleyan Church

Biblical Authority –
The Bible is the highest source of written authority for God’s plan for His people. Beliefs, practices, and priorities are to be anchored in clear Biblical teachings.

Christ-likeness – Christ is both our example and strength as we pursue integrity, excellence, faith, hope, and love.

Disciple-Making –
This is a clear mandate from God requiring a strong focus on evangelism and training in spiritual growth.

Local Church Centered -
The local church is the most fundamental and strategic point of evangelism and discipleship.

Servant Leadership -
We are to have a loving and willing heart of obedience that serves God and mankind gladly.

Unity in Diversity -
There is intrinsic value in every person. Unity becomes all the more important and beautiful in the light of the wide range of differences in personality, culture, race, talents, and perspectives. Loving each other eliminates devaluation and deprivation of life to one another.

Cultural Relevance – We are called to keep serving the present age. We are “culture informed” for the sake of reaching people for Christ, but not “culture captives,” in the sense of surrendering core values, beliefs.
