Awesome Sunday!!!

Services located at the Fine Arts Building on the campus of LSSU

I am very excited about this weekend’s services.  We are so blessed that our music will be lead by the Irish worship band Bluetree.  I have had the opportunity to hear and meet these men of faith.  They don’t come to put on a concert for us Sunday morning but to lead us in a time of worship to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  I know that you will be blessed as they lead us in worship.  They will also be putting on a concert at 6pm on Sunday sharing much of their popular Christian music.

Bluetree coming alone is very exciting but to add even more blessing to the service is our other special guest that we will be interviewing during the service.  [Read more...]

Sunday Worship

We are very excited to announce that the Dove award nominated Christian worship team “Bluetree” will be leading us in worship this Sunday at the Sault Wesleyan Church.  Bluetree is a worship team from Belfast, Northern Ireland that is most known for their song “God of the City”.  This group recently joined Jim Jacobson and the CFI crew as they went to minister to Karen refugees in Thailand and Burma.

In addition we also have a young lady (name withheld for security reasons) from Pakistan that will be sharing her testimony of being a Christian woman living  in a Muslim nation.

Looking forward to seeing you all this Sunday!

Dixieland at the Picnic

Bill and his band the Epsilon Jazz Band were featured in the Petoskey News Review.

The SWC is very excited to bring in some of the sounds from the dixieland to the SWC Family Picnic Extravaganza this year. Following our baptism service we will be holding a concert under the tent featuring Bill Bramer from Gaylord. Bill is an accomplished clarinet and tenor sax player.

Bill has been playing clarinet and tenor saxophone for over 56 years.  He began in the Maryland Public Schools Music Education Program, where he received his foundation in concert band and marching band.  Since then he has regularly played in numerous symphonic bands, dixieland bands, 1940’s big bands and traditional jazz and swing bands.  His preferred style for improvising is a blend of dixieland and swing components.  Bill relocated from the Washington, D.C. area to Michigan in 2006; and currently plays with the Epsilon Jass Band (Dixieland, Petoskey), the Back Room Gang (Dixieland, Traverse City), and the Gaylord Community Band (Symphonic).
