Let’s face it, we all live hyper-stressed lives. Relationship problems, financial issues, kids, busy schedules, tough jobs… you name it. At Sault Wesleyan Church we get it. Although we may not have any easy answers we find that “doing life together” makes all the difference! Having God in your life and having a church family behind you can make the bad days better and the good days great! Join us as we grow together in our walk with Christ. We truly can’t wait to meet you!
We want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people, and enjoyable atmosphere that are a part of our service. We know that your first time at a church, any church for that matter, can bring up some questions. “How do I get there?”, “What should I wear?”, What’s available for my kids?”, “What should I expect in church?”
- Real People. No, really!
- A comfortable, casual (some might say “laid back”) environment. Don’t change your wardrobe for us, just come as you are!
- Relevant and timely messages (Our pastor lives it more than most). You’ll understand when you get here!
- Worship music you would listen to even if you weren’t in church!
- Many ministries
- Community groups for adults and youth (try them all… one will fit!)
- Our youth rocks! Passionate about Christ and each other too!
- Kids Connection for kids with a safe secure kids area!
- Nursery (we love those babies!).
- Did we mention the free coffee?
Here’s a quick glimpse into what you can expect?
When you arrive for the first time you may notice that you are at a totally different church. You may even notice you are not at a church but actually at a university. No worries. You are at the right place. The Sault Wesleyan Church has grown over the years and needed a larger building. So we moved out of our old church building and are now on the campus of Lake Superior State University. In early December, the SWC moved into the fine arts theater at LSSU. The fine arts theater is a brand new 700 seat venue. Our prayer is that we always have enough space for everyone who comes. While we are at the theater, we are continuing to build our new church just outside of town. So your directions are correct. Come on in and meet with the SWC family.
Once you are here it is our hope you arrive to a welcoming environment. We will not barrage you with information, brochures, and welcoming committees. We believe your first time should be relaxing so you can experience our service. If you have any questions about us, feel free to ask one of our greeters. During our gathering time, you’ll experience great music and practical messages that help you deal with real-life issues. We use creative media and messages to help communicate truths from the Word of God. What you learn on the weekend, you’ll be able to apply during your week!
Here at Sault Wesleyan, we want your experience to be a comfortable one. We are more focused on meeting your real-life needs than what you wear. So, come as you are. You’ll fit in with the rest of us!
Get Connected
Once you have checked out the Sault Wesleyan Church it is our hope you decide to make it your family’s home. We would love to get you and your family connected to others in the church. One great way is to join one of our Community Groups. These groups are a great way to meet the Sault Wesleyan family, have a good time getting connected with others, and become a part of the Sault Wesleyan Church.
Our goal is a church where everyone feels welcome. The needs of your family are at the top of our list. We have great programs for children during our Sunday worship time. We have a fully staffed nursery for younger children. We also have a great children’s worship time on Sunday mornings called “Kids Connection”. At SWC we make every effort to give your children the safest experience.
